Ars Academica was founded by young valencian musicians, with the aim of sharing their passion and respect for music. Many of them met and formed part of the JORVAL (Joven Orquesta de Valencia) and are nowadays scattered around various european countries. There are also players who come from beyond the spanish borders (Greece, Argentina, Turkey, Uruguay and Slovenia). This does no other but reinforce the quality and dynamism of the group.

All of them, without exception, carry out an intense and exceptional musical achievement both in highly prestigious european institutions (Felix Mendelssohn Musikhochschule, Wien Konservatorium, Brussels Conservatory) as well as some of the finest national (Orquesta Nacional, Orquesta de Valencia) and international orchestras (Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, Halle Opernorchestra, Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester)

Ars Academica specializes int the classic and barroc repertoire, showing also profound knowledge of later styles.

Because of all this, Ars Academica pretends to establish itself as a european chamber orchestra known for its energy, quality and versatility.
